The activity log
The activity log is a record of setup actions: creating or renaming a node, changing rack parameters, archiving something, uploading a floor plan, running an import, adding a user or changing their role. It's visible to admins and managers.
What it deliberately leaves out
Routine activity like scans and views isn't logged here. Including every scan would bury the setup changes that actually matter to review in a flood of everyday noise, so the log sticks to configuration actions only.
Reading an entry
Each entry can be filtered by who did it, what kind of action it was, or when. If the thing an entry refers to still exists, the entry links straight to it. And if that thing was later renamed or archived, the entry still shows what it was called at the time. History doesn't get silently rewritten by something changing afterward.
